Mercedes-Benz ensures that it constantly stays in news and grabs customer attention in India with back to back new launches. The German luxury auto behemoth has further updated its Indian product portfolio by launching the new refreshed GLA and CLA in India. Mercedes-Benz, which is the leading the luxury car brand in the Indian market, dominates with 50 percent market share of the Indian performance car segment with its Mercedes-AMG products. Mercedes-Benz India has now launched the updated CLA 45 4Matic Coupe and the GLA 45 4Matic SUV models priced at Rs. 75.20 lakhs and Rs. 77.85 lakhs, respectively (all prices, ex-showroom across India).
Thus, Mercedes-Benz has not increased the prices new refreshed models of the CLA 45 and GLA 45 and continues with the old prices. However, these two models respective Aero Edition models come at an addition premium of Rs. 77.69 lakhs and Rs. 80.67 lakhs, respectively.
The top of the range GLA and CLA models get equipped with the same 2.0L 4-cylinder turbo-charged petrol mill which generates 381 hp of power and 475 Nm of torque. The engines also get paired to the same 7 speed dual-clutch automatic transmission gearbox that transmits the generated power to all the four wheels of the cars through the company’s 4Matic AWD system.
Mercedes-Benz will also launch the special edition models of the new refreshed CLA and GLA under the Designo personalization platform known as the Aero Editions. The Aero Edition models will offer great level of personalization options.
When exterior cosmetic changes are concerned, the updated CLA gets redesigned front and rear aprons, new LED headlamps, new front and rear diffusers and a restyled lip spoiler. The refreshed GLA 45 also gets the same updates and also flaunts a tailgate mounted spoiler. Both the models ride on newly designed 18 inch 10-spoke alloys.
The special Aero Editions of the new refreshed CLA and GLA will be featuring a new black finish and sporty decals on the doors. To heighten the sporty appeal, Mercedes has endowed a yellow strip that runs on the front and rear bumpers of the cars. Yellow accents continue on the sides, on the wing mirrors and the black finished alloy wheels as well. These changes are featured on the Yellow Night Edition which is launching for the first time in this country.
Mercedes-Benz offered exclusive kits on these two performance-oriented models, which include a new large 8.0 inch touchscreen infotainment system, a new instrument cluster and a 360 degree camera. The interiors of both the models will also boast of a number of attractive yellow highlighted styling elements, while both the models will also flaunt Aero Edition badges as well to announce their exclusive class.
The Mercedes-Benz CLA 45 AMG and the GLA 45 AMG are both practically peerless in the Indian car market and enjoy a class of their own. Counting in the new refreshed CLA and GLA, Mercedes-Benz India has launched a total of seven models this year, which are a part of the planned 12 model launch strategy of the company for the entire year of 2017.
