MG is charging Rs 20,000 more for the dual-tone variant over the corresponding monotone variants. It is to be noted that the dual-tone option is available with the top-spec Sharp variant only hence it is not available on the normal petrol-MT combination since the said drivetrain is offered only in two variants: Style and Super.
MG is not the only carmaker to offer a dual-tone variant of its SUV. Other carmakers like Hyundai, Kia, Tata and Jeep are already offering dual-tone variants of their respective SUVs.
Since the Hector dual-tone is available on the top-spec Sharp variant, it gets features such as six airbags, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors, 360-degree camera, tyre pressure monitoring system, electronic stability program, hill hold control, panoramic sunroof, power-adjustable front seats, auto AC with rear AC vents, and a 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto paired with connected car tech and Infinity sound system.
MG Hector is available with both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol engine on offer is a 1.5-litre turbocharged unit producing 143PS and 250Nm. It comes mated to 6-speed MT. MG also offers a 48V hybrid system with the petrol engine that is available a 6-speed MT as well as a 6-speed DCT. the Hector diesel, on the other hand, get a 2.0-litre unit making 170PS and 350Nm mated to a 6-speed MT.
