JSW MG Motor have launched the Hector Tomahawk PHEV in India, expanding their new-energy SUV lineup alongside the recently launched Hector Tomahawk EV. Prices for the plug-in hybrid start at Rs 21.79 lakh (ex-showroom) with the introductory BaaS option, while the regular purchase price starts at Rs 25.69 lakh.

The Hector Tomahawk PHEV is available only in a 7-seat configuration and gets a 1.5L petrol engine paired with a 20.5kWh battery pack.
The Hector Tomahawk PHEV is offered in 2 variants – Exclusive and Essence. MG are also offering an introductory BaaS option, under which buyers pay a lower upfront price along with a per-kilometre battery rental:
These are introductory prices and are applicable for a limited number of units. Bookings for the Hector Tomahawk PHEV are now open across MG dealerships and through the brand’s online platform. Test drives and deliveries are scheduled to begin in November 2026.
MG are offering the Hector Tomahawk PHEV with a 3-year warranty, along with 3 years of roadside assistance (RSA) and 3 labour-free services.

The Hector Tomahawk PHEV combines a 1.5L petrol engine with a 20.5kWh battery pack. MG says the plug-in hybrid SUV can deliver a driving range of over 1100km on a full charge and a full tank, making it suitable for buyers who want the flexibility of an electric vehicle for shorter trips without range anxiety on longer journeys.
The SUV can travel up to 115km in pure EV mode, allowing daily urban commutes to be completed without using the petrol engine in suitable conditions.
The plug-in hybrid system offers 4 intelligent drive modes:
The system produces 201PS of power, and MG claim a 0-100kmph acceleration time of 9 seconds.

While the Hector Tomahawk PHEV shares its overall design and feature package with the EV, it gets a few visual changes to distinguish it from the battery-electric version.
At the front, the PHEV features a large honeycomb grille with chrome accents, replacing the EV’s closed-off front end treatment. It also gets different 18-inch alloy wheel designs.
Inside, the PHEV gets a brown-and-black interior theme, while retaining the equipment and cabin layout of the Hector Tomahawk EV. The Hector Tomahawk PHEV is available exclusively with 7 seats.

The Hector Tomahawk PHEV carries over most of the features from the Hector Tomahawk EV. Highlights include a large 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 8.8-inch digital driver’s display, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless charger and a dual-pane panoramic sunroof.
Other notable features include:

The intelligent cabin modes include Nap Mode, Camp Mode, Pro Pet Mode, Energise Mode, Valet Mode and Quiet Mode, offering functions such as maintaining cabin temperature, powering external devices and managing cabin comfort.
