MG ZS Petrol Showcased At Auto Expo 2020

MG has showcased its ZS Petrol SUV at the Auto Expo 2020. The MG ZS petrol is expected to be priced in the range of Rs. 9.0 lakh to Rs. 15 lakh.

The MG ZS Petrol compact SUV comes with two petrol engine options. There’s a 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol engine that can offer 164PS of power and 230Nm of torque. The second one is a 1.5-litre normal petrol engine, which makes 120PS of power and 150Nm of torque. The 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine comes with a 6-speed automatic transmission, while the 1.5-litre engine could be available with either a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic transmission.

The showcased MG ZS petrol is the new facelift version of the SUV, while the MG ZS EV is based on the pre-facelift version. The MG ZS petrol comes with sharper new styling elements. It features a blacked-out front grille, revised sharply styled LED headlights, refreshed fog lamps and updated bumper adding to the vehicle’s contemporary looks.

The MG ZS petrol SUV has been showcased with the following features:

  • 6 airbags
  • Automatic AC
  • 10.1-touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
  • Push-button start
  • Connected techs like remote lock/unlock and voice commands

The MG ZS petrol’s India launch date has not yet been revealed by MG, but it is expected to happen in the first half of 2021. The MG ZS petrol will be competing with the compact SUVs like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos, and similarly priced mid-size SUVs like the MG Hector and Tata Harrier.
