enault India has launched the new 2019 year model of the highly popular Kwid. The new 2019 Renault Kwid has come braced with new improved features and safety equipments to entice the first time car buyers in India even further. The highly successful entry-level hatchback model has been priced in the very affordable range of Rs. 2.67 to Rs. 4.63 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi), as before.
The new 2019 Renault Kwid small car range continues to be available for sale in India in both its 0.8 litre and the more powerful 1 litre petrol versions. The mini hatchback with SUV looks also continues to come with both manual and automated transmission gearbox options, as Renault India revealed in its official statement.
Due to the stricter safety rules in the country, which is set to become more stringent in the coming years, Renault has made its bestselling model, the Kwid better equipped with more safety features. The new Kwid is now compliant with advanced safety regulations, which includes pedestrian safety as well, as per the company’s statement. The entry level hatchback model now comes braced with essential features like anti-lock braking system (ABS) along with (EBD) electronic brakeforce distribution. The car also comes equipped with safety features such as driver’s airbag, seat belt reminder for both the front occupants as well as speed alert as part of the Kwid’s standard package across all the variants in the range.
The new 2019 Renault Kwid continues to come equipped with the 7 inch touchscreen display integrated infotainment system with navigation system, which is available only on the top trim models – the RXT(O) and the Climber edition. However, now the infotainment system has become better as it supports Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity options as well. The infotainment system also offers a 'Push to talk' button, which lets the driver operate the features more effortlessly and have seamless access to the various applications all of which can be easily used via the user’s smart devices. The car also offers in-car entertainment through videos on the MediaNAV display via the new video playback option, which can be accessed by simply connecting with any USB device.
The 2019 Renault Kwid’s another first in segment equipment is its rear view camera assist system that comes with sound warning along with coloured guidelines. This important safety feature is also offered as standard across all the variants of the new Kwid range. The rear view camera is a really handy feature for the urban car drivers, as it helps to park the car safely in a tight parking spot in busy urban areas.
The new Kwid also comes with a new rear arm rest, but it is only offered on the top Climber edition model to add to the variant’s comfort level. Moreover, all the AMT models of the new 2019 Kwid have been endowed with Traffic assist system that conveniently lets the car roll forward in very slow moving traffic conditions, while it also prevents the car from rolling back on inclines.
The new 2019 Renault Kwid, despite all the feature-level improvements continue to be offered in the same price range as before, which is an additional plus for the Indian buyers.
