New-Gen Tata Nexon Front, Rear Images Leaked Ahead Of Launch | V3Cars
Tata Motors are gearing up to reveal the new-gen Nexon in the country. Ahead of its market launch, a new set of leaked images give us a sneak peek into its front and rear design. Read on to know more about the new-gen Tata Nexon.

New-Gen Tata Nexon Design Changes
The front of the new-gen Nexon boasts a split headlight setup like other Tata SUVs. The new design gives it a very sharp and angular look. The connected LED DRL design is similar to that of the Curvv concept and it also gets a gill-like design at either ends of the DRL. The main LED headlights sit lower on the bumper along with the fog lights. The lower bumper also gets a beefy skid plate and a mesh pattern for the radiator grille.

Around the side, the new Nexon looks similar to the outgoing model thanks to the rising beltline with a thick border. However, it will offer a new set of machined alloy wheels and bigger outside rear view mirrors. A small bulge on the ORVM also hints that the new Nexon could offer a 360-degree camera. Moving towards the rear, the new Nexon gets a Y-shaped LED tail light design along with a connecting light bar. The reverse lights and reflectors are placed lower on the bumper. Like before, the Nexon continues to get the Tata logo at the centre of the tailgate with the “Nexon” lettering spread across just underneath.
New-Gen Tata Nexon Interior And Features
We are yet to get a sneak peek into the interior of the production-spec Nexon. However, an earlier set of spy shots revealed a few details that are worth highlighting. To start with, the new Nexon will offer a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which is currently exclusive to the Nexon EV Max and larger Tata SUVs. Furthermore, the new Nexon will also get a large full-colour LCD instrument cluster instead of the current unit.
The dashboard of the new Nexon will feature revised materials with soft-touch panels sprinkled around. The centre console os expected to boast a new, smaller gear selector lever similar to one’s in the new Land Rover SUVs. The new Nexon will also get a new 2-spoke steering wheel that could also feature an illuminated Tata logo in the higher variants.

New-Gen Tata Nexon Powertrain Details
While the new Nexon will offer a host of changes in terms of its design and features, it is likely to retain the current models powertrain options. The 1.2L turbo petrol engine, which in the current iteration produces 120PS of power and 170Nm of torque, is likely to boast no changes except for one — the transmission. While the 6-speed manual is likely to remain as is, Tata could introduce a new 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with the Nexon instead of the 6-speed AMT of the current model. The diesel variants of the new Nexon are expected to retain the current model’s 1.5L turbo diesel engine and 6-speed manual or AMT transmission choices.
New-Gen Tata Nexon Launch Details
Since the images of the production-spec Nexon are now emerging online, we expect Tata Motors to reveal the new Nexon in September 2023. The carmaker is likely to open Nexon bookings soon and we expect Tata to reveal the full price list in
mid-September. The new Nexon will continue to rival other B2-SUVs like the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV300, Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite.
