    New Renault Captur SUV launched in India at Rs 9.9 lakhs

    French automaker Renault has launched the highly awaited Renault Captur SUV in India on 6th November, 2017. The new Renault Captur comes with a price range of Rs. 9.9 lakhs to Rs. 13.88 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The India-spec Captur is based on the same platform as the Duster SUV, but is positioned above the latter as a premium product. Thus, the Capture is the flagship model in the current lineup of Renault India. The Renault Captur rivals the Hyundai Creta, Jeep Compass and the likes.

Thus, the Capture is the flagship model in the current lineup of Renault India. The Renault Captur rivals the Hyundai Creta, Jeep Compass and the likes.

     

    The new Renault Captur premium compact SUV is available in a total four model trims, namely RXE, RXL, RXT and the range topping diesel model Platine. The top-end Platine comes with added premium features such as LED headlamps along with LED Daytime Running Lights, dynamic turn indicators and large 17 inch alloys.

    Design-wise, the Renault Captur is different than the traditional SUVs and comes with an urban stylish design featuring a flowing styling and attractive curves. In terms of dimensions, the crossover is 4,329 mm long, 1,813 mm wide and 1,613 mm tall. It comes with a wheelbase measuring 2,673 mm and a ground clearance of 210 mm. The Capture is available in 5 body colour options of Pearl White, Moonlight Silver, Planet Grey, Mahogany Brown and Cayenne Orange.

     

    Under the hood, the Captur gets the options of a 1.5 litre K9K diesel mill (which also powers the Duster) offering 110 hp of power, and a 1.5 litre petrol mill which generates 106 hp of power.

    The Captur’s cabin comes laden with a 7.0 inch touchscreen infotainment system with several connectivity options like Bluetooth, USB, aux-in, integrated maps and navigation, dual tome black and white leatherette seat upholstery, LED ambient lighting and much more.

     

    Being a premium offering, the 2017 Renault Captur SUV comes packed with over 50 premium features offered as standard on all variants. Standard features list includes projector headlamps, C-shaped Sapphire LED DRLs, integrated audio system with USB & Aux-in and Bluetooth, automatic temperature control, rear A.C vents, push-button start/stop with remote central locking system, steering mounted controls and rear defogger with wiper among others.

    Safety features include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, Brake Assist and Cruise Control feature, speed limiter and two ISOFIX anchorages for child seat at the rear. According to Renault, the Captur SUV is also certified for frontal and lateral crash tests.

    The Renault Captur comes with a wide range of customization options. Buyers can choose from over 40 personalization options. There are 7 attractive dual tone body colour combinations, namely - Cayenne Orange with Mystery Black roof, Mahogany Brown with Mystery Black roof, Pearl White with Mystery Black roof, Cayenne Orange with Marble Ivory roof, Pearl White with Planet Grey roof, Mahogany Brown with Marble Ivory roof and Mahogany Brown with Planet Grey roof.

    The top-end Platine variant boasts of a premium dual-tone white and gold interior scheme. The RXT trim offers anodized blue pacifique or rouge passion accent options on the aircon vents as well as on center console. Moreover, 16 different roof decal options are also there to choose from to further personalize the new Renault Captur.
