Toyota have released the first official teaser of the 2026 Hilux ahead of its India launch on July 28. While the teaser only reveals a few exterior details, it confirms several design elements we had reported earlier.
2026 Toyota Hilux Gets Rugged New Look
The teaser showcases the front fascia of the new Hilux finished in a bronze exterior colour. Key design highlights visible in the teaser include:
- Slim LED headlamps
- Honeycomb grille with bold TOYOTA lettering
- Silver front skid plate
- Black alloy wheels
- Roll bar behind the cabin
The India-spec Hilux is also expected to feature redesigned LED tail lamps, TOYOTA lettering on the tailgate and a rear bumper with an integrated step for easier access to the load bed.
Premium Cabin Expected
While Toyota are yet to reveal the cabin, the India-spec Hilux is expected to offer a significantly upgraded interior featuring dual 12.3-inch displays, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, dual-zone climate control, wireless phone charging, ventilated front seats and a 360-degree camera. Toyota are also expected to retain physical controls for frequently used functions.
Engine Likely To Remain Unchanged
Toyota are expected to continue offering the familiar 2.8L turbo diesel engine producing 204PS of power, paired with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission and a 4WD system. The company could also introduce the 48V mild-hybrid version of this engine at a later stage, although this is yet to be confirmed for India.
