American SUV brand Jeep has revealed the highly awaited next generation Jeep Wrangler SUV online. The all new Jeep Wrangler will be having its official world premiere at the 2017 Los Angeles Motor Show, which will commence on 29th of November, 2017.
As per the official images, the next generation Jeep Wrangler SUV has retained the traditional SUV design that Jeep is famous for, albeit some changes and updates. The new-gen model has received subtle cosmetic updates on its headlights and grille design when exterior styling is concerned, while on the inside the instrument cluster receives mild update. According to Jeep, the all new Wrangler has been endowed with improved aerodynamics. The American SUV maker will also offer multiple door, top and windshield combinations on the new Wrangler for the customers to choose from as per their preference.
While Jeep has revealed the all new Wrangler online, the company has yet not disclosed details on its specifications. However, the specs details of the next-gen SUV have also been leaked out on the internet via a user manual. As per the leaked user manual, the all new Jeep Wrangler will be coming packed with a choice of a 2.0 litre 4 cylinder turbocharged petrol mill and a 3.6 litre V6 petrol engine. The smaller petrol engine will be offering a towing capacity of 907 kg, while the bigger and the more powerful unit will offer the towing capacity of 1,587 kg. Both the engine options will be coming braced with a system which is specifically designed to avoid snaking of the attached trailers.
On the inside, the all new Jeep Wrangler SUV has remained pretty much the same as that of its predecessor. The entire cabin layout, design and overall features list remains largely unchanged, although there are few additions and updates. Jeep will offer a 7.0 inch and an 8.4 inch touchscreen infotainment system options on the new Wrangler. The 8.4 inch infotainment unit will be offering additional features such as satellite navigation, while both the infotainment systems will offer integrated climate control systems.
The infotainment displays will also offer various important information for an optimum off-roading, which includes axle status, steering angles to the vehicle’s altitude, longitude and latitude. The displays also show the vehicle’s pitch and roll angles for added convenience.
The new generation Wrangler will also come braced with a wide range of safety equipment. Its safety equipment list includes automatic emergency braking system and Rain Brake Support system which enhances the vehicle’s stopping power during wet and slippery driving conditions. There will be adaptive steering weighting which changes the steering setup in accordance to the various driving conditions. The tougher Rubicon models of the SUV are expected to get packed with more advanced off-roading technology suit.
Many more details on the new generation Jeep Wrangler SUV model are expected to be revealed officially by the American SUV manufacturer, when it unveils the model at the 2017 LA Motor show by the end of the current month.
