Japanese auto maker, Nissan has launched a new, smarter version of its customer centric application - the Nissan Connect in India. According to Nissan India, the Nissan Connect app is now even more comprehensive. The app now comes with as many as 18 new features which are based on four important customer centric requirements, namely - safety and security, control, convenience and social sharing. Nissan will be offering all the Nissan Connect app services free of cost to all the new Nissan customers for the first three years. All the existing Nissan customers can avail the benefits of this new app by updating the interface of their cars for Rs. 15,000.
At present, the Nissan Connect app is offered only the three Nissan models, namely - the Micra, Sunny and the Terrano.
The Nissan Connect app aims to offer high convenience, safety, security, and connectivity to the users through an array of over 50 features. This application offers many important features to the users such as idling run time notification, set speed limit alerts, emergency calling feature along with an SOS button, track and trace feature, geo-fencing and many other handy features. There are also a tow-away alert as well as automated impact alert for added safety measures.
As the name suggests the Nissan Connect app offers sharing and connectivity features as well apart from all the important vehicle related features. Through this app one Nissan car owner can connect with the other Nissan owners, share info among each other, plan for a group road trip and much more.
Then again, the Nissan Connect also takes care of the vehicle maintenance and service related schedules. The app can offer the updates on the car’s overall condition and schedule regular service timelines for the car. You can also book service appointments through the app. If an owner wishes to own another Nissan model and wants to know more about other Nissan car models, then the app can also offer all the details as well.
While speaking on the new revised Nissan Connect app, the Vice President of Marketing at Nissan Motor India Private Limited, Peter Clissold said that the future of mobility is in offering new innovative technologies. Nissan’s vision not only involves bringing in new cutting-edge technologies, but also to enable the company’s customers to enjoy a safe, convenient and stress free car ownership experience. The new, more intelligent and advanced Nissan Connect app will ensure that the company’s customers are more confident and in better control of their cars, even when they are not inside their cars. The Nissan Connect app offers 24x7 vehicle vigilance as well as keeps the users updated on their cars’ location and situation, so the owners can have their peace of mind about the safety of their car.
Nissan first launched its Connect app last year. The Nissan Connect app was developed specifically for the Indian market by the Renault Nissan Technology Business Centre India.
