Nissan Tekton 7-Seater India Launch Confirmed For Q2 2027

The upcoming Nissan SUV will be based on the same platform as the recently-spied Renault Duster 7-seater and will serve as Nissan’s flagship SUV for the Indian market.

Nissan Tekton 7-Seater To Offer More Space And Practicality

Like the Renault counterpart, the Tekton 7-seater is expected to feature a longer wheelbase and rear overhang than the standard 5-seat SUV. The larger SUV is expected to retain the Tekton 5-seater’s rugged styling while offering a longer roofline, larger rear quarter glass, extended rear overhangs, longer roof rails and a 3-row seating layout.

The additional length should allow Nissan to package a usable 3rd row of seats along with improved boot space with the 3rd row seats folded when compared to the standard Tekton.

Nissan Tekton 7-Seater Expected Features

Since the Tekton 5-seater already offers a comprehensive equipment list, the 7-seater is expected to carry over most of its premium features. Expected highlights include:

  • Panoramic sunroof
  • Ventilated front seats
  • Powered front seats
  • Dual-zone automatic climate control
  • Wireless phone charger
  • Electronic parking brake
  • Powered tailgate
  • Google Built-in with Google Maps and Google Assistant
  • Connected car technology
  • 360-degree camera
  • Level 2 ADAS
  • Adaptive cruise control
  • 6 airbags

The larger SUV could also receive rear AC vents and additional convenience features for 3rd-row passengers.

  • 1.3L turbo petrol producing 163PS and 280Nm, available with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Once launched, the Tekton 7-seater is expected to rival the Mahindra XUV7XO, Tata Safari, Hyundai Alcazar, MG Hector Plus and the upcoming Renault Duster 7-seater.
