In this October 2022 cars sales analysis article, we’ll look at the YoY and MoM change in sales figures of all B2-segment hatchbacks in India. Where applicable, we’ll also include our observations based on the sales data and possible reasons behind a massive increase or drop in sales. Lastly, the table with monthly sales of all B2-segment hatchbacks for the last 6 months will give you an idea about the 6-month sales trend.

B2-Segment Hatchback October 2022 Car Sales - YoY Change

The Maruti Baleno was the only B2-segment hatchback with 5-figure sales numbers in October YoY comparison. It saw a YoY gain of 10%.
Hyundai i20 was the top gainer in the segment, with a 77% gain in October YoY comparison.
The Toyota Glanza was the second biggest gainer, with a 72% YoY gain in the month of October 2022.
The Honda Jazz continued to show a downward trend in sales. Its October 2022 sales figures were 74% lower than the same month last year, and was the biggest YoY loser.

B2-Segment Hatchback October 2022 Car Sales - MoM Change

In terms of MoM sales figures, the Hyundai i20 was the top gainer, with a 7.41% gain in production numbers
Glanza was the other gainer in th segment, with 6.77% gains
Honda Jazz was the top loser with 68% decline in dispatches, followed by Maruti Baleno with 11.46% decline and Altroz with 8.74% decline
