In this October 2022 car sales analysis article, we’ll look at the YoY and MoM change in sales figures of all MPVs in India. Where applicable, we’ll also include our observations based on the sales data and possible reasons behind a massive increase or drop in sales. Lastly, the table with monthly sales of all MPVs for the last 6 months will give you an idea about their 6-month sales trend.

MPV Segment October 2022 Car Sales - YoY Change

  • Besides the Mahindra Marazzo, the Triber and Vellfire were the only two MPVs that witnessed any growth.
  • All the other MPVs saw a decline in their sales figures, with the Maruti Suzuki XL6 leading the pack with 46% YoY decline in October YoY sales comparison analysis.
  • The worst performer was the Toyota Innova Crysta with 38.66% YoY decline, followed by the Kia Carnival with 24.75% decrease in sales figures.

MPV Segment October 2022 Car Sales - MoM Change

  • Among MPVs, the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Eeco were the top 2 performers in October. The Eeco, which stood at the top with 12,500+ monthly dispatches in September 2022, fell short of even 9,000 dispatches in October
  • On the other hand, Ertiga made it into the 10k club in October.
  • The 3 MPVs that saw MoM rise in numbers were the Ertiga with 12.85% growth, Carens with 4.7% increase and Triber with 3.63% rise in October MoM comparison.
  • The Innova Crysta’s October sales figures were about 50% less than the September figure. It was followed by the Maruti Eeco with a 30.21% decline and XL6 with 18.85% decline in numbers.
