In this Q4 2022 MG quarterly cars sales analysis article, we’ll look at the car sales of MG for the previous year. We’ll also compare the YoY and QoQ change to find out which MG cars’ sales improved and which ones declined.

Q4 2022 - MG Quarterly Car Sales Figures - YoY Change

Speaking of YoY comparison, MG Motors saw growth across the board in Q4 2022 compared to Q4 2021
The only exception for this trend of growth for MG was the Gloster D-segment SUV, with a near 16% decline in numbers
The ZS EV C-segment electric SUV was the top gainer in YoY comparison, with a huge 400%+ increase in sales in Q4 of 2022
The ZS EV was followed by Astor, with a 128% increase
The Hector twins showed stability in sales, with just a 1.53% increase in YoY dispatches
MG sold 4,451 units more in Q4 of 2022 than Q4 of 2021, showing an overall growth rate of 56.38%

Q4 2022 - MG Quarterly Car Sales Figures - QoQ Change

MG reported a decline in production for 2 out of 4 cars in its portfolio.
Amongst the QoQ losers, the Gloster was the top loser, with a 47% decline in sales in Q4 compared to Q3.
The Hector twins reported a QoQ decline of 17% in Q4.
Speaking of QoQ gainers, the ZS EV showed a healthy growth of 33.5% in Q4, and was the top performing car for MG Motors.
The Astor showed a 33.52% QoQ growth.
