The highly talked about ultra luxurious Rolls-Royce Cullinan SUV has been launched in the car market of India priced at Rs. 6.95 Crore (ex-showroom, Delhi). Coming from the leading bespoke auto giant, the Rolls-Royce Cullinan comes with an array of customization packages with a host of accessories to pick from in order to compliment an owner’s personal taste and preferences. The customization options that can make the Cullinan very much personalized do increase the price even further, but as the mega-luxury vehicle is meant for the really deep pocketed buyers, they sure won’t mind splurging a bit more.

The Rolls-Royce Cullinan SUV has been named after world’s largest diamond ever found. The Cullinan diamond is now a part of the British Crown Jewels. The Cullinan SUV is a really special model, as it is the even SUV to come from the iconic bespoke British auto brand, and it is touted as the most luxurious SUV model in the whole world till date. The Cullinan goes up against some of the most luxurious SUV models such as the Lamborghini Urus and the Bentley Bentayga, both of which share their platform the Audi Q7. However, the Cullinan is based on the highly specialized and advance aluminium platform which underpins the current generation Rolls-Royce Phantom flagship mega-luxury sedan.

As Rolls-Royce has a way of calling its vehicles by off-beat names in keeping with its bespoke character, the company does not refer to the Cullinan as an SUV or crossover, but call it an "all-terrain, high-sided vehicle” – which are essentially an SUV’s primary characteristics.

As can be easily ascertained, the Cullinan is a massive SUV with all the signature exterior styling elements including the colossal chrome grille to mark it unmistakably as a Rolls-Royce vehicle and exude the famed majestic appeal. The Rolls-Royce SUV is a massive 5341 mm long, 2164 mm wide and rides on a wheelbase measuring 3295 mm.

If the exterior design of the Rolls-Royce Cullinan is regal, the interior is a lap of luxury. The bespoke SUV’s cabin offers two individual rear seats which are separated by a Fixed Rear Centre Console complete with a drinks cabinet with the Rolls-Royce whisky glasses and decanter, champagne flutes and a refrigerator. The seats are also highly flexible and movable to offer the comfort to the occupant.

Another one of the many super luxurious and interesting features of the Cullinan is the two mounted inside the boot that are electrically operated and can be deployed when the boot lid is open. These are meant for occasions such as a picnic, to offer a comfortable seating option.

At the Cullinan’s heart is the massive 6.75 litre V12 engine which generates 563 bhp of peak power and a hammering 850 Nm of top torque. Being an ‘all-terrain’ vehicle, the Cullinan comes braced with great off-road capabilities. The SUV’s off-road mode is called ‘Everywhere’ mode which offers track, gravel, wet grass, mud, sand or snow modes to suite various driving situations. It obviously gets a sophisticated all-wheel drive system and its electronic suspension system delivers torque as per the requirements of the various terrains.

The Rolls-Royce Cullinan is essentially a true Rolls-Royce model that comes with all the luxury that can be fitted into a tough and massive SUV to please the worldwide fervor of SUVs.
