Skoda Slavia Deliveries To Begin In Early March | V3Cars

Zac Hollis, the Managing Director of Skoda India recently confirmed to a Twitter user and potential customer that the deliveries of the Slavia sedan will start early in March 2022. Customers can see the car in Skoda showrooms and test drive it even before that, possibly in February. Bookings for this sedan are open for an amount of Rs. 11,000.

Replying to a potential customer’s query, Zac Hollis tweeted: ”We will start deliveries in early March. Expect to see the car in showrooms before that.” This statement hints at a nearby launch of the Slavia. Also, Skoda will soon begin the dispatch of Slavia to dealers.

Skoda revealed the Slavia in November last year. Even though SUVs are the taste of buyers nowadays, Skoda are still betting on their sedans. The Slavia is a replacement for Rapid as Skoda have now discontinued it. However, it is significantly longer, wider and taller than the Rapid. The Slavia is even longer than the first generation of Octavia, which is a D-segment sedan. Slavia will also offer the highest ground clearance, widest cabin and biggest wheelbase in the segment and hence, it might offer more room inside the cabin than the competition.

The Slavia will have two engine options, a 1.0L turbo petrol engine and a 1.5L turbo petrol engine. The engine specifications are as follows:

The engine and transmission used in Slavia are the same used in Kushaq. Slavia also uses the same MQB A0IN platform used in Kushaq.

2022 Skoda Slavia Petrol Expected Prices

We expect the Slavia to go on sale in February or early March. It will compete against C-segment sedans like Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and Volkswagen Vento. The expected prices for Slavia are between Rs. 11.0 lakh to Rs. 17.5 lakh.
