As part of the BS6-II upgrade, Skoda has also informed us that their vehicles are now compatible with E20 fuel, which is a flex fuel blend containing 20% ethanol. The government's plan in the coming years is to make E20 biofuel the primary option available at all petrol stations nationwide. This move will reduce our reliance on imported fuel by up to 20% as the local biofuel industry ramps up production. Currently, the petrol available at fuel stations contains 10% ethanol, which does not require any modifications to the engine's cylinder walls or fueling system.
