Skoda Slavia Price Increased By Up To Rs. 36,000; Variants Renamed | V3Cars

Skoda recently increased the prices of the Slavia variants. 7 out of the 9 variants of the Slavia got a price increase while 2 got a price drop. A few special editions like matte edition and Elegance edition are no longer on sale. Similarly, the Style non sunroof variant is also discontinued. Along with this price update, Skoda have also renamed the Slavia variant lineup. The base, mid and top variants of the Slavia were earlier called Active, Ambition and Style, respectively. They are now called Classic, Signature and Prestige.

Skoda had also dropped the prices of the Slavia back in October 2023 for a limited period. Then, the prices went back up and breached the Rs. 11.0 lakh mark. In that October 2023 price drop, the Slavia base model was selling for Rs. 10.89 lakh. This time, the base price of the Slavia is even lower. In the last instance too, Skoda used the base model price drop as a cover to hike the prices of the mid and top variants of the Slavia.

The price drop may make you consider buying the Slavia base model. But it’s also highly likely that you won’t get to buy that variant. Once you convey the intention of buying the Slavia base model, you may encounter excuses from the sales staff such as:

“The base model is out of stock. So, we have very long waiting periods. But the higher variant is readily available.”
