Skoda India have started rolling out the Slavia to their dealerships, ahead of its launch later this month. The Czech carmaker has been accepting bookings for the upcoming C-segment sedan since November 2021. Meanwhile, test drives are expected to begin post launch.

Earlier, Skoda announced that it will launch the Slavia 1.0L turbo petrol variants on February 28. The Slavia 1.5L turbo petrol will go on sale a little later, on March 3.
When launched, the Skoda Slavia will become one of the largest sedans in its segment. It will also offer a long list of features to compete against its rivals.
In terms of design, the Slavia looks similar to its bigger sibling, the Octavia. However, unlike the Octavia, which gets a notchback design, the Slavia features a more conventional design for its boot.

As far as powertrains are concerned, the Slavia will share its engine and gearbox options with the Kushaq. The 1.0L turbo petrol engine will produce 115PS of power and 175Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The 1.5L turbo petrol engine will produce 150PS of power and 250Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The Skoda Slavia will take on the likes of the Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, and the upcoming Volkswagen Virtus. We expect Skoda India to price the Slavia from Rs. 10 lakh to Rs. 17 lakh ex-showroom.
