The normal petrol engine of the Altroz will gain 3 new variants — XM+ (S), XZ+ (S) and XZ+ O (S). All 3 variants will offer a voice-controlled electric sunroof along with other new features. The top-spec XZ+ O (S) variant will offer new features like an air purifier, a wireless phone charger, enhanced voice commands and a shark fin antenna. Tata Motors are likely to announce the prices of the updated Altroz variants soon.

The Altroz comes with a 1.2L normal petrol engine that produces 88PS of power at 6000rpm and 115Nm of torque at 3250rpm. Tata offer the option of a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. With the BS6 phase-2 update, Tata Motors have tuned the engine to offer better low-end performance and refinement.
