Tata Altroz Racer To Replace Altroz Turbo Petrol | V3Cars
A source in Tata Motors with knowledge about the launch of the Altroz Racer told V3Cars recently that the standard Altroz will receive new variants and features soon. The source also told us Tata Motors are set to replace the standard Altroz turbo petrol variants with the upcoming Altroz Racer.

Standard Altroz Turbo Petrol To Be Replaced By Altroz Racer
Currently, the Altroz turbo petrol is available in 2 variants – XZ and XZ Plus S. According to our source, Tata Motors are considering replacing the 2 turbo petrol variants with the Altroz Racer, which will be available in 3 variants – R1, R2 and R3. With this change, the 1.2L turbo petrol engine will become exclusive to the Altroz Racer.
Check out the features of the Altroz Racer’s 3 variants below:
Altroz Racer R1
The base R1 variant of the Altroz Racer hot hatch is likely to be based on the Altroz turbo petrol’s XZ variant. We expect the Altroz Racer R1 variant to offer 4 extra airbags and a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. This also brings with it wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay. Currently, the Altroz’s XZ variant gets a 7-inch touchscreen with wired smartphone connectivity.
Altroz Racer R2
The R2 variant looks like it’s based on the Altroz XZ Plus S variant. Among features that aren’t available in the standard Altroz, the Racer R2 variant will get 2 notable additions — wireless phone charger and 360-degree camera. The cameras mounted for the 360-degree camera system on the ORVMs will also serve as blind view monitors.
Altroz Racer R3
Finally, the top-spec R3 variant of the Altroz Racer will get only one notable feature, which isn’t available in the regular Altroz — ventilated front seats.
