Tata Motors are the leading electric vehicle manufacturer in the country and their latest offering — the Tiago EV — is reaching new milestones. It is on its way to become the fastest-selling electric car in the market. Read on to know more details about the Tata Tiago EV.
Tata Tiago EV Achieves 10,000 Sales Unit Milestone
The Tata Tiago EV achieved the 10,000 sales milestone in under 4 months of its launch. It becomes the fastest electric car to achieve the 10,000 sales milestone, surpassing its elder sibling — the Nexon EV. Tata Motors opened bookings for the Tiago EV on October 10, 2022 and received 10,000 orders within the first 24 hours. The carmaker started delivering the Tiago EV to customers in January 2023.
Tata Motors also revealed that over 1,200 owners of the Tiago EV have already driven their car for over 3000km whereas the 600+ customers have covered over 4000km with their Tiago EV. Furthermore, while the owners of the Tiago EV can top up a range of 110km in around 30 minutes with a DC fast charger, 90% of the total charging is done via home-charging solutions, which come bundled with the Tiago EV.

Tata Tiago EV Variants And Features
Tata Motors offer the Tiago EV in XE, XT, XZ+ and XZ+ Tech LUX variants. The top-spec XZ+ Tech LUX variant of the Tiago EV offers features like a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic projector headlamps, LED DRLs, rain-sensing wipers, reverse parking camera, keyless entry with push-button start/stop and automatic climate control.
Tata Tiago EV Powertrain Details
Tata Motors offer the Tiago EV in 2 powertrain options — medium range with a 19.2kWh battery pack and long range with a 24kWh battery pack. The smaller 19.2kWh battery pack promises a range of 250km on a single charge whereas the 24kWh battery pack offers a claimed range of 315km, as per Modified Indian Test Cycle (MIDC). The medium range variants of the Tiago EV offer 61PS of power and 110Nm of torque whereas the long range variants offer 75PS of power and 114Nm of torque.
