Tata Motors have updated the Tiago and Tigor CNG with their innovative twin CNG cylinder technology. With this update, all CNG models from Tata Motors now boast the twin CNG cylinder technology that helps free up more boot space. Read on to know their prices and specifications.

Tata Tiago, Tigor CNG Now Get Twin CNG Cylinders

The twin cylinder technology has helped Tata free up more boot space in the Tiago CNG and Tigor CNG. The twin CNG cylinders lie under a false boot floor while the spare wheel is now placed under the car. While the exact boot volume of the Tiago and Tigor CNG are not available at the moment, we can expect them to offer class leading storage space.

The Tigor CNG prices start from Rs. 7.80 lakh and go up to Rs. 8.95 lakh (ex-showroom). Like the Tiago CNG, the Tigor CNG also commands a premium of Rs. 95,000 over its corresponding petrol variants. It is worth mentioning that the Tigor CNG offers a water-equivalent capacity of 70L with its twin CNG cylinders, which is the largest in its segment.

Tata Tiago, Tigor CNG Specifications

The Tata Tiago, Tigor and Tiago NRG CNG come equipped with a 1.2L petrol-CNG powertrain that produces 73PS of power at 6000rpm and 95Nm of torque at 3500rpm on CNG mode. When driven on petrol, it produces 86PS of power at 6000rpm and 113Nm of torque at 3300rpm. The CNG variants only come with a 5-speed manual transmission while Tata offer the petrol variants with the option of the same manual transmission and a 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT) as well.
