The Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder is the newest SUV in the C-Segment and Toyota have already released the prices of its hybrid variants. In this article, we share the official ground clearance and boot space figures of the new Urban Cruiser Hyryder.

The Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder mild hybrid offers 373 litres of boot space. The Urban Cruiser Hyryder strong hybrid, on the other hand, offers 265 litres of boot space. The strong hybrid Urban Cruiser’s boot space is compromised as the batteries are placed under the boot of the SUV. It also impedes accessibility of the spare wheel. In the mild hybrid variants, the spare wheel is placed inside the boot whereas in the strong hybrid variants, the spare wheel resides under the car.

The Urban Cruiser Hyryder comes with an unladen ground clearance of 208mm. The ground clearance is impressive for an SUV of its class. The Urban Cruiser Hyryder’s ground clearance is higher than the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, MG Astor and even the Tata Harrier. The Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder extends its lead over its rivals with a petrol mild-hybrid 4-wheel-drive powertrain option as well.

The Urban Cruiser Hyryder comes with a 1.5L mild hybrid petrol engine and a 1.5L strong hybrid petrol engine. The former gets 4-wheel-drive with terrain modes. The 1.5L mild-hybrid petrol engine produces 103PS of power and 137Nm of torque at 4400rpm. This comes with either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The 1.5L strong hybrid engine gets an eCVT transmission and produces 116PS of power and 122Nm of torque between 4400rpm and 4800rpm.
