It has come to light that Ford India has already started dispatching the two new variants of the EcoSport to the authorized dealerships of the company across India. As per the latest reports, these two variants of the EcoSport will be officially launched in the country in the second week of this current month of May. The dark sporty theme continues on the inside the Ford EcoSport Titanium S trim. It gets endowed with a black dashboard and seat upholstery while bright orange inserts on seats, door pads as well as on the dashboard add a splash of colour. The interior also sports the S badging on the door pads in order to mark it apart from currently top Titanium+ variant. The variant also gets a tyre pressure monitoring system among other added features.
On the other hand, the Ford EcoSport Signature Edition will be getting endowed with a rear spoiler. On the inside, there will be classy blue interior trims and contrast stitching on the seat upholstery.
The Ford EcoSport Signature Edition will also get added safety features like electronic stability control and Hill Launch Assist among other features.
When the under the hood mechanical bits are concerned, the two new variants of the Ford EcoSport will be powered by the same 1.5 litre petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol engine offers 123 bhp of power and 150 Nm of torque, while the diesel engine delivers 99 bhp and 205 Nm. Transmission duties get handled by a manual and automatic transmission gearbox options.
Meanwhile, after the launch of the two new range topping models of the Ford EcoSport compact SUV, the current Titanium+ trim will be losing its 17 inch alloy wheels along with its now top-end status. Instead it will get 16 inch alloy wheels, but the pricing of the Titanium+ trim is not expected to go down for this small change.
