Kia Sonet

Kia Sonet is a 5-seater B2-segment SUV that will come with three engine options: a 1.2-litre 83PS petrol engine, a 1.0-litre, 120PS turbo petrol engine, and a 1.5-litre 100PS diesel engine. All the three engines will be offered with a manual transmission while the diesel and turbo-petrol engine option will also get an automatic gearbox. The Sonet is Kia’s third model in India after the Seltos and Carnival and its pre-launch bookings are already open. The Sonet racked up more than 6,500 bookings on the first day on which its bookings started. Expect a starting price of around Rs 7 lakh (ex-showroom).

Toyota Urban Cruiser

Toyota Urban Cruiser is a 5-seater B2-segment SUV that will come with a single engine option: 1.5-litre 105PS petrol engine. It will be offered with a manual and a 4-speed torque converter type automatic transmission. Urban Cruiser is the second shared model between Toyota and Maruti Suzuki in India after the Glanza. The Toyota Urban Cruiser’s pre-bookings commenced on August 22 for a token amount of Rs 11,000 (refundable). Expect a starting price of around Rs 8.25 lakh (ex-showroom).

Skoda Rapid Automatic

Skoda Rapid is a 5 seater C-segment sedan that comes with a single engine option: 110PS 1.0-litre petrol engine. The new Skoda Rapid was launched in India in May 2020 along with the new Superb and Karoq SUV. With the new 1.0L turbocharged engine, Rapid is limited to only a 6-speed manual gearbox, but now Skoda is planning to introduce an automatic gearbox as well on 17th September. Skoda Rapid manual price starts from Rs. 7.49 lakh and automatic is expected at a starting price of around Rs 9.00 lakh (ex-showroom).
Skoda Rapid Competitors:
The Skoda Rapid rivals the Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Vento, Honda City, Toyota Yaris and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.

Mahindra eKUV100

Mahindra eKUV100 electric car first premiered in India earlier this year during the Auto Expo 2020. With its price in India starting around the ₹8 lakh (ex-showroom) mark, it is likely to become the cheapest electric car on sale in India. It will rival the Mahindra eVerito and Tata Tigor EV. The KUV100-based EV will get a 15.9kWh liquid-cooled battery and it will have a claimed range of 147km.

Mercedes-Benz AMG GLE 53 Coupe

Mercedes-Benz has started accepting bookings for its 5-seater, luxury D-segment SUV/crossover, AMG GLE 53 4MATIC+ Coupe, from September 8. It has a 3.0-litre six-cylinder in-line engine which is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. It produces 520Nm of peak torque and 435PS of maximum power. As per the company, the car can do a 0-100kmph stint in 5.3 seconds.
Mercedes-Benz AMG GLE 53 Coupe Competitors:
On the basis of price, the Mercedes-Benz AMG GLE 53 Coupe will rival the BMW X6, BMW X7, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Land Rover Discovery and Volvo XC90.
