List Of Upcoming Cars Launching In October 2022 | V3Cars

October 2022 promises to be an exciting one, with several SUVs, hatchbacks and sedans set to launch this month. 2022 has been the year of EVs and we can expect at least 2 new EV launches this month as well.

It is worth noting that only a few cars mentioned below are confirmed to go on sale this month while others are based on media speculation.

1. XUV300 Sportz

XUV300 Sportz

According to new reports, Mahindra are likely to launch the XUV300 Sportz on October 7. Showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo, the new XUV300 Sportz will get a few cosmetic updates along with a new 1.2L turbo petrol engine. We expect the XUV300 Sportz to feature sporty decals on the bodywork along with sportier alloy wheels and red brake callipers. Additionally, the 1.2L turbo petrol engine will produce more power and torque, at 130PS and 230Nm, respectively.

2. BYD Atto 3

Atto 3

BYD are all set to launch the Atto 3 electric SUV on October 11. BYD have confirmed the launch date for the Atto 3 on their India website. The Atto 3 will rival the MG ZS EV, Hyundai Kona Electric, Tata Nexon EV Max and the upcoming Mahindra XUV400. BYD already offer the Atto 3 in Australia with 2 battery pack options — 49.92kWh and 60.48kWh. The combined WLTP-certified range for the 2 powertrain options stands at 345km and 420km, respectively.

3. Updated Tata Tigor EV

After the launch of the Tiago EV, Tata Motors are likely to soon update the Tigor EV with new features. This update could offer features like leatherette seats, tyre pressure monitoring system, multi-level brake energy regeneration, cruise control, automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers and enhanced telematics. Additionally, existing Tigor EV customers could also receive an over-the-air update that could give the electric sedan features like cruise control and multi-level brake energy regeneration.

4. Jeep Grand Cherokee

Jeep are likely to launch the Grand Cherokee in October 2022. It has been spied on our roads multiple times in the 5-seat configuration. When launched, India will become the only country outside of the USA to assemble the Grand Cherokee. It will come with a 2.0L turbo petrol engine that is likely to produce 268PS of power and 400Nm of torque.

5. Toyota Glanza CNG

Toyota have successfully homologated the Glanza CNG and its launch is imminent. As per new documents, Toyota will offer the Glanza CNG in 3 variants — S, G and V. The Glanza CNG will come with a 5-speed manual transmission. With CNG, the 1.2L petrol engine will produce 77PS of power and 99Nm of torque. The Glanza CNG variants are likely to be priced at a premium of Rs. 95,000 over their corresponding petrol variants.

6. Maruti Suzuki Baleno CNG

Maruti Suzuki are also likely to launch the Baleno CNG soon and it will share its powertrain with the Glanza CNG. While it has not been homologated yet, its 1.2L petrol engine, too, is expected to produce 77PS of power and 99Nm of torque when powered by CNG. Maruti Suzuki could charge Rs. 95,000 more for the CNG powertrain over the corresponding petrol variants.
