2023 Citroen C3 7-Seater Rendered Images — This Is How It Could Look Like | V3Cars

New rendered images of the Citroen C3 7-seater SUV, which is likely to be called the C3 Aircross, surfaced online recently. It gives us a sneak peek into the design of the SUV before its launch in mid- or late-2023. The Citroen C3 7-seater SUV was spied testing multiple times in India. Let’s take a look at its details, such as design, engine specifications and features.

The rendered images of the Citroen C3 7-seater SUV follows Citroen’s signature design with the Chevron logo and grille flanked by split headlamps at the front. Comparing the rendered images with the spy shots of the Citroen C3 Aircross, we can safely assume that the C3 7-seater SUV will be longer, wider and taller than the C3 5-seater SUV, which is currently on sale in India. However, Citroen are unlikely to increase the wheelbase of the C3 7-seater SUV but instead increase the rear overhang to accommodate the 3rd-row seats.

At the front, the Citroen C3 7-seater SUV is expected to look similar to the C3 5-seater SUV, save for a few distinguishing elements. While the Chevron logo with twin-slat grille and the split headlight and LED DRLs are likely to be retained, the C3 7-seater could feature more blacked out elements and a beefy skid plate for a more rugged look. Apart from a longer rear overhang and new alloy wheel designs, the side profile is expected to remain similar to the 5-seater model. The rear of the C3 7-seater SUV could feature revised graphics for the taillamps along with a skid plate and rear washer/wiper.

On the inside, we expect the C3 7-seater to offer a lot more features than the regular C3. Currently, the C3 offers features like a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, power windows and manual AC. We expect the C3 7-seater to get automatic climate control, electronically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, a bigger digital instrument cluster, rear AC vents, front centre armrest and of course, 3-row seating.

Will The C3 7-Seater Be Christened C3 Aircross?

Citroen India have already confirmed a more premium model called C3 Aircross for our market. Hence, the chances of Citroen calling the C3 7-seater SUV the C3 Aircross are high. Currently, Citroen India are working towards launching the electric version of the C3, the eC3, in our market. Hence, we can expect the C3 7-seater SUV to go on sale in the second half of 2023, possibly around the festive season.

The Citroen C3 Aircross is likely to rival other C-segment SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, MG Astor, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder. However, the C3 Aircross will offer the added practicality of 3-row seating at a similar price point.
