Volkswagen India has launched 'Digital Workplace Experience' across its dealership centers in the country. According to the company, all 121 Volkswagen dealership centers will be equipped with tablet computers along with a pre-installed 'Digital Workplace' application.
Commenting on the launch of this initiative, Steffen Knapp, Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars said, “People are at the centre of Volkswagen’s business and with the Digital Workplace initiative, we aim to enhance the sales and after-sales processes as well as digitalize the customer buying experience. As the country moves a step forward with the Digitalize India campaign, this is yet another enterprise to fully integrate our dealerships and provide a premium user experience. It is our endeavor to offer our customers, all of Volkswagen’s services at the comfort and convenience of their homes.”
Volkswagen has introduced this initiative to enable consultants towards lead capturing, 360-degree view and vehicle presentation, videos, competition comparison, explore financing solutions, register test-drives etc. Other than these, the digital platform also enables technicians at the workshop to showcase and explain customers the entire repair work required on their vehicle which helps in upgrading the after-sale service, according to the company.
The six-step procedure will help customers receive timely updates via SMS regarding their vehicle at the workshop, right from the time when the vehicle enters the workshop till its completion. The process also helps in creating a customized product brochure for customers with their preferred vehicle and choice of features and will allow technicians at the workshop to showcase and explain to customers the entire repair work that is required on their vehicle, as part of the after-sales experience for the customers. In the end, the customers will get the choice of either picking up the vehicle or asking the dealership to drop their vehicle at their doorstep.
VW has taken the step forward to enhance the customer experience for the VW vehicle owners in the country. With this initiative, the automaker also aims to improve the sales performance of the cars. Stay tuned to V3cars.com for further updates from Volkswagen India.
