VW Taigun GT Now Offers More Transmission Choices, Limited Edition

Taigun GT & GT Plus Now Offer MT And DCT Options

Previously, Volkwagen offered the Taigun in 2 GT variants — GT with a 1.5L manual and GT Plus with a 1.5L DCT. Now, however, both the GT and GT Plus variants offer both manual and DCT automatic transmission options. The new Taigun GT DCT variant is priced at Rs. 16.79 lakh while the GT Plus MT variant is priced at at Rs. 17.79 lakh (ex-showroom)

Volkswagen Taigun GT Powertrain Details

The performance line GT variants of the Taigun come with a 1.5L turbo petrol engine. It offers 150PS of power at 6000rpm and 250Nm of torque between 1600rpm and 3500rpm. This engine offers active cylinder deactivation that shuts off 2 of the 4 cylinders when cruising at a constant speed to aid fuel efficiency. It comes with both 6-speed manual and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission options.

The top-spec Taigun GT Plus offers the following features:

Volkswagen Taigun GT Edge Limited Editions Launched

The GT Edge limited edition of the Taigun SUV offers 2 colour options — black and matte grey. The black paint option comes with both powertrain choices — GT Plus MT at Rs. 17.99 lakh and GT Plus DCT at Rs. 19.25 lakh (ex-showroom). Similarly, the matte grey paint option also comes in 2 choices — GT Plus MT at Rs. 18.19 lakh and GT Plus DCT at Rs. 19.45 lakh (ex-showroom).
