Volkswagen Taigun Sound Edition – What Is It?

The Volkswagen Taigun Sound Edition is a limited edition variant of the C-segment SUV. It is based on the Topline variant of the Taigun and comes with a single engine option – the 1.0-litre turbo petrol. Check out the ex-showroom prices of the Volkswagen Taigun Sound Edition below:

  • Volkswagen Taigun Sound Edition Topline MT - Rs. 16.33 lakh
  • Volkswagen Taigun Sound Edition Topline AT - Rs. 17.90 lakh

The Taigun Sound Edition is priced at a premium of Rs. 30,000 over the corresponding Topline variants of the SUV. For the premium, customers get a few additional features such as powered front seats and a 7-speaker sound system with a subwoofer and amplifier. Additionally, it also gets ‘Sound Edition’ decals on the C-pillars.

The Volkswagen Taigun Sound Edition is available in 4 colours and they all come with a white roof and white ORVM covers. Here are the colour options available:

Powering the Volkswagen Taigun Sound Edition is the familiar 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine that puts out 115PS of power and 178Nm of torque. It is available with 2 transmission options – a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic. The Volkswagen Taigun competes against the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, MG Astor and the Skoda Kushaq.
