Assurance Intl Limited announced the relaunched of ACDelco in the Indian automotive aftermarket. The brand, owned by General Motors, returned through a licensing and strategic partnership with the company. The collaboration focused on manufacturing and distributing automotive batteries and lubricants in India.

Assurance Intl Limited, a leading player in lubricants and automotive components in India, announced the relaunch of ACDelco, the globally recognised automotive aftermarket brand owned by General Motors, in the Indian market. The relaunch is being undertaken under an official licensing and strategic partnership with General Motors.
Speaking at the launch, Mr. Rakesh Sharma, Managing Director, Assurance Intl Limited, said:

As part of the collaboration, Assurance Intl will act as the official licensee for ACDelco in India, overseeing manufacturing, marketing and nationwide distribution of select aftermarket products. The initial product lineup includes automotive batteries and a range of high-performance lubricants designed for passenger and commercial vehicles operating under Indian driving conditions.
The company stated that localised manufacturing will help ensure competitive pricing while maintaining the global quality standards associated with the ACDelco brand. The products will be distributed through a multi-tier distribution network covering distributors, retailers and service workshops across key automotive markets in India.
To support the rollout in India, Assurance Intl has established dedicated manufacturing capabilities for the ACDelco portfolio across two product categories. The company operates a battery manufacturing facility at Hisar, Haryana, which will produce automotive batteries under the ACDelco brand for the domestic market. Lubricants will be produced at its blending and packaging facility in Hisar, designed to manufacture a range of high-performance engine oils and automotive fluids tailored for Indian driving conditions.
Both companies also indicated plans to explore future-ready solutions such as eco-friendly lubricants and advanced battery technologies, aligned with evolving vehicle technologies and sustainability trends.
