In India, where adventure beckons and families come in all sizes, affordable MPVs that can handle both passengers and their luggage are highly sought-after. If you're looking for a budget-friendly MPV capable of hauling your entire family, here's a breakdown of the cheapest 7-seater cars in India:
Renault launched the Triber facelift in the country in July 2025. The updated MPV from Renault continues to be the most affordable 7-seater car in India, with a price tag starting from Rs. 6.29 lakh (ex-showroom). The Triber facelift is the first Renault car to offer the brand’s new 2D logo. It offers standard safety features such as 6 airbags as well as front and rear parking sensors. Other features on offer include:
The engine and transmission options for the Triber facelift remain the same as before. As standard, the Triber facelift is offered with a 1L normal petrol engine producing 72PS of power and 96Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT. The 2025 Renault Triber is also available with a government-approved CNG kit.
All variants of the Triber facelift fall under the Rs. 10 lakh price bracket:

The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is the second most affordable 7-seater MPV you can buy currently. Over the years, the Ertiga has established itself as a comfortable, reliable and feature-loaded MPV that offers ample space for 7 passengers and their luggage. Equipped with a refined petrol and CNG engine that offer good mileage, the Ertiga is worth considering if the Triber is too small for your needs.
Like the Triber, the Ertiga was updated recently and it now offers 6 airbags as standard along with other safety features such as ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and rear parking sensors.
Although the Ertiga is offered with a 4 petrol-manual, 3 petrol-automatic, and 2 CNG-manual variants, only the base petrol-manual variant makes it to our list as the others are priced above Rs. 10 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Mahindra Bolero and Bolero Neo are worth mentioning here since they are both SUVs that offer seating for 7 passengers.
In the case of the Bolero Neo, 1 variant – the N4 (Rs. 9.97 lakh) – falls under the Rs. 10 lakh bracket, thus making its way into our list of cheapest 7-seater cars in India. The Bolero Neo is powered by a 1.5L diesel engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. It produces 100PS of power and 260Nm of torque, while the claimed fuel efficiency stands at 17.29kmpl.
The bigger Bolero too offers seating for 7 passengers, but only 1 variant falls under the Rs. 10.0 lakh bracket – the B4 priced at Rs. 9.81 lakh. The Bolero is powered by a 1.5-litre diesel engine that produces 76PS of power and 210Nm of torque. It is only available with a 5-speed manual transmission and offers a claimed mileage of 16.70kmpl.
Both these SUVs come with jump seats in the 3rd row. While jump seats may not be as comfortable as a forward facing 3rd row bench seat, they improve practicality as one can fold away jump seats in a jiffy to liberate more storage area in the boot.
