Renault India officially launched the 2025 Kiger facelift on August 24, with prices ranging from Rs. 6.29 lakh to Rs. 11.29 lakh. Built on the same CMF-A+ platform as the Magnite, the new Kiger offers a revised design as well as new features over the outgoing model.   • Although both SUVs share the same platform, the Nissan Magnite is slightly longer and wider than the Renault Kiger facelift
  • The Renault Kiger is 33mm taller than the Magnite. However, it is important to note that the stated height of the Kiger includes the height of the shark fin antenna too
  • Both SUVs have an identical wheelbase and ground clearance
  • However, Renault have managed to squeeze out a substantial 69 litres of boot space over the Magnite

  • Both the Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite share the same engine options – a 1L normal petrol and a 1L turbo petrol
  • The 1L normal petrol engine in both SUVs is offered with 2 transmission options – a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT
  • The 1L turbo petrol engine in both SUVs is offered with 2 transmission options – a 5-speed manual and CVT automatic
  • Unsurprisingly, both SUVs produce identical power and torque
  • Renault are yet to specify if the claimed mileage figures for the Kiger facelift are for the manual or automatic variants. Nonetheless, the claimed mileage of the Kiger facelift is marginally higher than the 2025 Magnite
  • Both Renault and Nissan also offer a CNG kit for their respective SUVs at a premium of Rs. 38,000. However, this CNG kit can only be added to the normal petrol-manual variants of both SUVs. The power, torque and claimed mileage of the CNG kit for both SUVs remain undisclosed for now
  • All engine options for the Kiger facelift and Magnite 2025 are fully compliant with E20 fuel. The Magnite turbo petrol achieved full E20 compliance in August 2024, while the normal petrol variants did the same in March 2025 

2025 Renault Kiger Vs. Nissan Magnite: Top Features

Considering the 2025 Kiger facelift is a newer SUV compared to the Magnite facelift, which was launched in October 2024, the Renault SUV offers a few advantages in the features department.

Here are some of the features that the Kiger facelift offers but Magnite doesn’t:

  • Ventilated front seats
  • Drive modes
  • Rain-sensing wipers
  • Dual glovebox
  • Red brake calipers (turbo only)

In comparison, the Magnite offers a larger 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the Visia Plus and above variants.

In terms of safety, both SUVs offer 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP and traction control as standard. The top variants of the Kiger and Magnite also offer a 360-degree surround view monitoring system.

Both the Renault Kiger facelift and Nissan Magnite are priced in the same range as each other. However, the entry point for all powertrain options of the Magnite are lesser than that of the 2025 Kiger. That said, the top Magnite Tekna Plus CVT is the most expensive SUV among the two.
