    Hyundai Aura is available with a 1.2L petrol engine with a 5-speed transmission. The power and torque output of this engine are 83PS and 114Nm, respectively. It also gets a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine, which makes 100PS of power and 172Nm of torque.

    • With a manual and automatic transmission, Maruti Suzuki Dzire has the best fuel-efficiency figure. It promises 23.26kmpl with the manual and 24.12kmpl with the automatic transmission.

    In terms of performance, though, the Aura turbo is easily a level above the rest. Its massive torque band covers the bottom and mid-range of the rev band and there’s nothing else in this class that can even come close to matching the Aura turbo’s performance. While the Maruti Suzuki Dzire has an exceptionally efficient engine, the Aura has an exceptionally torquey petrol engine with strong bottom-end performance.

    Amongst all the B2 sedans, Ford Aspire has the highest ground clearance, so it should be the last car to bottom-out on uneven roads. The Aspire also has the widest tyres in the segment. It offers 195-section rubber in higher variants. Honda Amaze has the biggest boot in the segment, followed closely by the Tigor, so they can carry maximum luggage.
