Audi has started accepting bookings for the A4 facelift and the carmaker has plans to launch the updated sedan on 5 January 2021.
In terms of design, not much has changed on the Audi A4 facelift, and it looks largely similar to the outgoing model. The most significant updates come at the front where it gets the updated headlamps that flank the now wider front grille. The front bumper is also redesigned. The side and the rear profiles remain largely identical to the outgoing model.
Like its exterior, the cabin also remains largely untouched. The most noticeable change comes in the form of a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Other features on offer should include multiple airbags, LED matrix headlamps, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, dual-zone AC, a panoramic sunroof and connected car tech.
Under the hood, unlike the pre-facelift model, the A4 facelift will be a petrol-only offering. It will be powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that makes 190PS of power and 320Nm of peak torque, mated to 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Audi claims the A4 facelift can go from 0-100kmph in 7.3 seconds.
Prices of the A4 facelift are expected to start around Rs 40 lakh. It will take on the likes of the BMW 3 Series, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Jaguar XE and the upcoming Volvo S60.
The A4 facelift is one of the many launches expected from Audi in 2021. The carmaker is planning to repopulate its portfolio in India, which currently consists of the Q2, A6, A8L, Q8 and RS models like the RS7 and the RSQ8. Other Audi cars that are expected to make it to our shores in 2021 include the new Q3, Q5, Q7 facelift and the updated A5, A5 Cabriolet and S5.
