Jeep India have revealed the 2022 Meridian’s specifications and other crucial details ahead of its launch in June. When launched, the Jeep Meridian will rival other 3-row SUVs in the market like the Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster and Skoda Kodiaq. Here, we compare the 2022 Meridian’s dimensions and other details with that of its rivals.

As you can see in the table above, the Meridian sits close to the Fortuner in most of the dimensions. The Meridian is 4768mm long, 1859mm wide and 1700mm tall and gets a wheelbase of 2794mm. 

The Toyota Fortuner on the other hand is 4795mm long, 1855mm wide and 1835mm tall and gets a wheelbase of 2745mm. Both the Meridian and the Fortuner ride on 18-inch alloy wheels. However, the Fortuner gets wider tyres. 

Out of all the SUVs here, the Gloster is the longest and tallest and offers the best wheelbase and boot space as well. 

The widest SUV in this comparison is the Mahindra Alturas G4 and it also gets the best ground clearance of the lot.

As you can see in the table above, the 2022 Jeep Meridian gets the segment-best power-to-weight ratio of 95PS per tonne. On the other hand, the Toyota Fortuner offers the segment-best torque-to-weight ratio of 229.36Nm per tonne. The Meridian is the second-best in terms of torque-to-weight ratio, which stands at 196.53Nm per tonne.

In terms of overall power and torque figures, it’s the Gloster that offers the segment-best power and torque figures of 218PS and 480Nm respectively.
