Kia have revealed the all-new Seltos facelift with substantial changes both on the outside and inside. The new Seltos facelift gets updated front and rear profiles along with a new set of stylish alloy wheels. On the inside, the Kia Seltos facelift gets bigger connected screens for the infotainment and instrument cluster.

Kia made their debut in India with the launch of the Seltos SUV back in 2019. After a span of close to 3 years, Kia are gearing up to bring the Seltos facelift to our shores this year. The 2022 Seltos facelift gets a bigger grille up front with a new mesh pattern. The LED headlights now see a revision and sit a little lower, whereas the LED DRLs now find their way inside the grille, rather than sitting atop the grille in the current model. The lower bumper also gets a revision and the ice-cubed fog lights do not see any changes.

On the side, the new Seltos gets dual-tone machined alloy wheels. However, whether the India-spec model receives the same design for the alloy wheels remains to be seen. Save for the alloy wheels, the side profile remains the same as before. It is the rear which gets the biggest change. The Seltos facelift gets connected LED tail lights, which fall in line with the design seen in newer Kia models like the Sportage and the Carens. The placement of the rear reflectors and reverse lamps have also been changed, and the Seltos facelift also gets a bigger skid plate.

While the Seltos sold in North America featured individual displays for the instrument cluster and infotainment system, the Seltos facelift gets Mercedes Benz-like twin connected screens. This isn’t a new feature for us since the India-spec Seltos was always sold with the connected screen setup. That said, Kia are likely to offer a bigger screen this time around. Other changes include redesigned AC vents, a new steering wheel and a rotary gear selector.

2022 Kia Seltos Facelift India Powertrain

As most facelifts go, we do not expect the Seltos facelift to offer any changes in terms of engine or gearbox options. We expect Kia to continue with the same 1.5L normal petrol, 1.5L turbo diesel and 1.4L turbo petrol engines. Gearbox options will include the 6-speed manual, CVT, 7-speed dual clutch automatic and 6-speed torque converter automatic.

Kia Seltos Launch And Rivals

Kia India are likely to bring the new Seltos facelift to India later this year. It will continue to rival the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Skoda Kushaq, MG Astor and Volkswagen Taigun.
