2022 Maruti Nexa Baleno Petrol Expected Prices | V3Cars

The 2022 Maruti Nexa Baleno is set to be launched on February 23. Meanwhile, Maruti continue to tease the updated version of their premium hatchback on social media. While we await the official launch and prices of all the variants, here’s what we expect each variant and transmission option could cost. Bookings for the 2022 Baleno are currently open for a token amount of Rs. 11,000.

The Baleno will be offered in 4 variants — Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha. It will get only 1 engine option — a 1.2L normal petrol engine with a mild-hybrid setup. Check out our variants explained report (link below) to find out which of the four trims meet your needs the best.

The 1.2L normal petrol engine will get the option of a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT automatic transmission. Here are its specifications:

Except for the base Sigma variant, all the variants will get the option of a 5-speed AMT automatic transmission. Based on the engine and transmission option distribution among variants, here are the expected prices of the new Baleno:

We expect Maruti to price the Baleno 1.2L normal petrol manual between Rs. 6.0 lakh and Rs. 9.10 lakh. The Delta manual could cost Rs. 6.70 lakh, while the Zeta and Alpha manual could cost Rs. 7.90 lakh and Rs. 9.10 lakh respectively.

The 5-speed AMT automatic variants could carry a premium of Rs. 55,000 over their respective manual variants. The Delta automatic could cost Rs. 7.25 lakh, while the Zeta and Alpha manual could cost Rs. 8.45 lakh and Rs. 9.65 lakh respectively.

The new Baleno will go up against other premium hatchbacks like the Tata Altroz, Hyundai i20, Honda Jazz, Volkswagen Polo and its badge-engineered counterpart, the Toyota Glanza.
