Exclusive - Maruti Celerio Spotted With Unusual Camo Paint – Flex Fuel Celerio? | V3Cars

We recently spotted the second-generation Maruti Celerio on test with an unusual camouflage paint job. Typically, brands use fabric, PVC wraps or faux body panels to disguise the design and silhouette of an upcoming car. However, as the Celerio is already on sale, we can’t help but wonder why Maruti even chose to add a camouflage to their test car.

Maruti Suzuki launched the second-gen Celerio towards the end of 2021. In January 2022, they brought the Celerio CNG. As both the Celerio petrol and CNG models are on sale currently, this test car, with its unusual camouflage, remains a mystery. However, we can definitely say that it’s not an electric car as you can clearly see the tailpipe under the bumper.

After the recent announcement by Union minister Mr. Nitin Gadkari regarding the launch of flex-fuel cars, we can’t help but wonder if Maruti are testing its upcoming flex-fuel engine with this camouflaged Celerio test mule. We expect Maruti Suzuki to launch their flex-fuel vehicle in the coming months to help the government achieve its targets of reducing emissions and the ambitious plan to roll out E20 fuel by 2023.
