The 2022 Maruti Nexa XL6 facelift is expected to get multiple cosmetic changes and new features. While not much can be made out from the top-view teaser image of the XL6 facelift, it does reveal a shark-fin antenna, which isn’t on offer with the outgoing model.

Speaking of cosmetic changes, we expect the 2022 XL6 to offer redesigned LED headlights and tail lights with Nexa’s signature tri-LED elements that we first saw on the 2022 Baleno. The 2022 XL6 could also get bigger alloy wheels. The outgoing model runs on 15-inch alloy wheels with skinny tyres.

Maruti Nexa will offer advanced telematics with the 2022 XL6 facelift, like in the 2022 Baleno. We expect it to come with a bigger screen, likely 9.0-inch compared to the current 7.0-inch screen. Maruti Nexa will reveal the full list of features closer to the launch of the premium family MPV.

The 2022 Maruti Nexa XL6 will be powered by a new 1.5L normal petrol engine with dual-jet technology and mild-hybrid system. It is likely to produce the same 105PS of power and 138Nm of torque. It will get a new 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission with paddle shifters. The new transmission will replace the ageing 4-speed torque converter unit in the automatic variants. The 5-speed manual, on the other hand, will continue to serve the XL6 manual variants without any changes.

The 2022 Maruti Nexa XL6 will go up against the Kia Carens, Mahindra Marazzo and the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga facelift. With the new changes, Maruti Suzuki are likely to charge a premium of Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 60,000 over the outgoing model.
