2022 Toyota Hilux Unveiled - Price Reveal In March | V3Cars

Toyota India have unveiled the Hilux for the Indian market. While bookings and test drives are underway, Toyota will announce the prices in March 2022, ahead of deliveries. Hilux is the pick-up truck version of the Toyota Fortuner.

Toyota Hilux comes with a 2.8L diesel engine with both 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic transmissions. The 4-wheel-drive setup and rear electronic differential come standard with the Hilux.

Toyota Hilux measures 5325mm in length, 1855mm in width, 1815mm in height and has a wheelbase of 3085mm. It offers a payload cargo deck capacity of 435 kg. Here are the dimensions of the Hilux in comparison to its rival, the Isuzu V-Cross.

Toyota offers the Hilux in two variants - Low, with only manual transmission, and High, with both manual and automatic transmission options.

On the features front, the Hilux offers the following features:

The Hilux comes with a 2.8L turbo diesel engine that produces 204PS of power and 420Nm of torque with the manual transmission. The torque output increases to 500Nm with automatic transmission. Toyota Hilux shares its platform and drivetrain with the Fortuner.

  • Metallic white
  • Red
  • Siver

Globally, Hilux has been in production since 1968 and Toyota have sold over 20 million Hilux pick-up trucks. In addition to that, the Hilux is the best-selling model in 16 countries worldwide. Once launched, the Hilux will go against the Isuzu V-Cross, which is also due for a generation change in the Indian market. Toyota will reveal the prices of the Hilux in March and the deliveries will begin in April.
