The luxury carmaker BMW have launched the new X7 in India in a completely refreshed avatar. The 3-row SUV or SAV (Sports Activity Vehicle), as BMW like to call it, comes in both petrol and diesel variants. As expected, BMW have improved the car’s design and added a host of new features while ensuring the best driving experience.

The BMW X7 comes only in the M Sport trim for now and features 3.0L petrol and diesel engines. Bookings have already commenced while deliveries start from March 2023. Let’s take a look at what the new X7 has on offer in terms of design, powertrain, features and price.

The X7 facelift is certain to turn eyeballs with its sleek, split LED headlamp setup, a chunkier grille that retains BMW’s kidney grille signature design and an overall muscular stance. Being the M Sport trim, the SUV gets M-branded alloys, while at the rear, it gets 3D-taillights, a dual exhaust setup and sporty skid plates.
Speaking of interiors, the X7’s cabin gets a curved display setup that houses the instrument panel and the touchscreen infotainment system based on BMW’s i-Drive 8 infotainment technology. The air conditioning controls are now integrated into the touchscreen system and the air vents get an updated look. A rotary shift selector replaces the traditional gear lever.

The X7 facelift gets 3.0L 6-cylinder petrol and diesel engine options. BMW have also added a 48-volt motor as part of its mild hybrid technology, which pumps up the car’s torque by 12PS. Take a look at the engine specifications of the new X7 in the table below:

The BMW X7 facelift petrol is priced at Rs. 1.22 crore (ex-showroom) and the X7 diesel is priced at Rs. 1.25 crore (ex-showroom). The new X7 is a D2-segment SUV and will compete with cars like the Volvo XC-90 and Audi Q8.
