2023 BMW 7 Series 740i xDrive Launched In India At Rs. 1.70 Crore | V3Cars

BMW India have launched the 2023 7 Series with a starting price of Rs. 1.70 crore. BMW offer the 7 Series in the 740i xDrive trim via the completely knocked down (CKD) route while the diesel variants will launch soon.

2023 BMW 7 Series 740i xDrive Design

The new 7 Series comes with an updated design that brings it closer to BMW's X line of SUVs. Up front, it gets BMW’s large kidney grille flanked by split LED headlights. The lower part of the bumper gets black surrounds to reduce visual bulk. At the rear, the i7 gets slim LED tail lights and 'xDrive' badging on the boot lid.

2023 BMW 7 Series 740i xDrive Interior

The new i7 comes with the latest interior from BMW and offers a new iDrive system. It gets 2 connected screens that sit atop the dashboard in a curved glass casing. The screen for instrumentation measures in at 12.3-inch while the infotainment system screen measures 14.9-inch. The highlight of the interior lies at the rear, which is a 31-inch theatre screen. It is mounted on the roof and can be retracted with just the press of a button. It supports Amazon Firestick with acces to all major streaming platforms.

2023 BMW 7 Series 740i xDrive Powertrain Details

The 740i xDrive comes with a 3.0L turbo petrol engine that produces 381PS of power and 520Nm of torque between 1850rpm and 5000rpm. The engine channels power to all 4 wheels via an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission and all-wheel drivetrain. It can do the 0-100kmph sprint in just 5.4 seconds while its top speed is limited to 250kmph.

2023 BMW 7 Series 740i xDrive Rivals And Deliveries

The 2023 BMW 7 Series 740i xDrive rubs its shoulders with other luxury sedans like the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and Audi A8L. Audi India recently launched the A8L facelift with prices starting from Rs. 1.29 crore ex-showroom. Currently, the new 7 Series is the most expensive luxury sedan in its segment and its deliveries will start in March 2023.
