The 2023 Verna comes with 2 petrol engine options. It shares the 1.5L normal petrol engine with the Creta, which recently received the BS6 phase-2 update. In the new Verna, this engine is likely to produce an identical 115PS of power and 144Nm of torque. The new Verna will also offer a 1.5L turbo petrol engine with 160PS of power and 253Nm of torque.

As we stated earlier, Hyundai will launch the 2023 Verna on March 21, 2023. Ahead of its launch, Honda are likely to update the City sedan with a mid-life facelift. Like the Verna, the new Honda City will be offered as a petrol-only model. The 2023 Verna will continue to rival other sedans like the Volkswagen Virtus, Skoda Slavia and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.
