Hyundai India are all set to launch the 2023 Verna on March 21, 2023. The carmaker recently opened bookings for the upcoming sedan for a token amount of Rs. 25,000. Hyundai will offer the Verna with 2 petrol engine options.

While Hyundai are yet to reveal the complete design of the new Verna, the carmaker has shared a couple of teaser images that give us an idea about its design. Starting with the front profile, the new Verna offers slim LED DRLs with a connected LED lightbar in the middle. We have seen this design in the Staria MPV before and it looks quite futuristic. The headlights are placed lower on the bumper along with the large front grille and big air intakes.

Around the side, the new Verna offers an elongated tail section, which hints towards an increased length over the current model. The C-pillar of the new Verna also incorporates a knurled chrome finish, which is similar to that in the Tucson. At the rear, the new Verna gets a connected LED lightbar with split LED tail lights. The lightbar merges with the LED tail lights, which form an invented L shape towards the edges. Furthermore, it also gets ‘VERNA’ lettering above the light bar.
The most notable change on the inside of the next-gen Verna is the twin connected screens. The 2023 Verna is likely to offer a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.25-inch instrument cluster. Furthermore, it will also offer a new dashboard layout with several design elements taken from the new Elantra. Since the new Verna is likely to boast a longer wheelbase, it could offer improved legroom for rear seat passengers.
The 2023 Hyundai Verna is likely to offer the following features:

Hyundai will offer the 2023 Verna sedan in 4 variants — E, S, SX and SX(O). While the 1.5L normal petrol engine will be carried over from the current Verna, the 2023 Verna will mark the debut of Hyundai’s 1.5L turbo petrol engine. Hyundai are yet to reveal the power and torque figures of this new turbo petrol engine. However, we can expect this engine to offer class-leading figures. The 1.5L normal petrol engine, on the other hand, is likely to produce identical 115PS of power and 144Nm of torque with the 6-speed manual and CVT transmission.
As we stated earlier, Hyundai will launch the 2023 Verna on March 21. Bookings for the sedan are already open and you can either visit your nearest Hyundai dealership or log on to Hyundai website to book one. The new Verna will rival other sedans like the Volkswagen Virtus, Skoda Slavia, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and Honda City.
