The Mercedes-Benz GLA and GLB SUVs have received their mid-life refresh. The updated versions of the GLA and GLB feature design changes at the front and rear and both SUVs get a few new features as well. Let’s take a loot at the 2023 GLA and GLB SUVs in detail.

The updated GLA gets a revised front profile that includes a new bumper with skid plate and a redesigned front grille. It also gets updated LED headlights with a new pattern for the LED DRLs. Around the side, the new GLA now offers 4 additional alloy wheel designs, with sizes ranging from 17-inch to 20-inch. At the rear, the new GLA gets redesigned LED tail lights and a new bumper.

On the inside, the new GLA gets a heated steering wheel. Apart from that, the interior of the new GLA is identical to the outgoing model. The 2023 GLA offers a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 7-inch digital driver display as standard. However, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster is offered as an extra option.

Like the GLA, the GLB also gets an updated front profile, featuring a new bumper with skid plate and a redesigned front grille. It, too, gets updated LED headlights with a new pattern for the LED DRLs. The new GLB offers 4 new alloy wheel designs — ranging from 18-inch to 20-inch in size — and a new blue paint option. At the rear, the 2023 GLB gets redesigned LED tail lights and a new bumper.

The 2023 GLA and GLB now offer mild-hybrid technology with the petrol engines. The 48V mild-hybrid system offers 14PS extra power boost as and when needed. The GLA also offers a new 250e plug-in-hybrid powertrain, which uses a 1.3L turbo petrol engine and a 11.5kWh battery pack. The plug-in-hybrid GLA can cover up to 70km on battery power.
Mercedes-Benz India could launch the GLA and GLB facelifts in the second half of 2023. Mercedes-Benz have already announced plans to launch the new-gen GLC SUV in the third quarter of 2023. Furthermore, the carmaker will launch 10 new models in India in 2023.
