New Kia Sonet Facelift Variant Details Leaked Ahead Of Launch | V3Cars

Kia India are all set to launch the Sonet facelift soon. The carmaker released a teaser video of the Sonet facelift recently and now, the brochure for the updated B2-segment SUV has leaked online. The leaked brochure reveals the list of Sonet variants as well as some of the key features. Let’s take a closer look.

2024 Kia Sonet Variant Details

According to the leaked brochure, the Kia Sonet facelift will be offered in the same number of variants as before. In total, Kia will offer the Sonet facelift in 7 variants, including HTE, HTK, HTK Plus, HTX, HTX Plus, GTX Plus and X-Line. Like before, the Sonet facelift will be offered in 3 main trims – Tech Line, GT Line and X-Line.

The leaked brochure suggests the Kia Sonet facelift gets the same engine options as before. Not all of the powertrain options are available in every variant. Check out the variant-wise powertrain breakup in the table below.

The 1.2-litre normal petrol engine produces 83PS of power and 115Nm of torque. It is only available with a 5-speed manual transmission. Only the HTE, HTK and HTK Plus variants of the Sonet facelift get this powertrain option.

The 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine produces 120PS of power and 172Nm of torque. It is available with a 6-speed auto-clutch manual transmission (ACMT) and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The HTK Plus, HTX and HTX Plus variants of the Sonet facelift get the 6-speed ACMT option, while the HTX, GTX Plus and X-Line variants get the 7-speed DCT option.

The 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine produces 116PS of power and 250Nm of torque. It is available with a 6-speed manual transmission, 6-speed auto-clutch manual transmission (ACMT) and a 6-speed torque converter (TC) automatic transmission. The 6-speed manual transmission is available in all variants except the GTX Plus and X-Line. The 6-speed ACMT is available only with the HTX and HTX Plus variant, while the 6-speed automatic transmission is available in the HTX, GTX Plus and X-Line variants.
