Hyundai India have launched the 2026 Exter facelift with prices starting at Rs. 5.79 lakh (ex-showroom). The 2026 Exter is offered with the same engine and transmission options as its predecessor. However, not all powertrains are available in all variants.

In this article, we’ll explore the variant-wise powertrain options and their specifications. Hyundai are offering the Exter 2026 in 7 broad variants – HX 2, HX 3, HX 4, HX 4 Plus, HX 6, HX 8 and HX 10.

2026 Hyundai Exter – Variant-Wise Engine And Transmission Options

The 2026 Exter is available with the following 3 powertrain options:

1.2L normal petrol with 5-speed manual
1.2L normal petrol with 5-speed AMT
1.2L CNG bi-fuel with 5-speed MT

The Exter base model is available with both normal petrol and CNG engine options. However, it is not available with an automatic transmission
The HX 3 , HX 6 and HX 8 variants are available with all 3 powertrain options
The Exter HX 10 top model is only available with the 1.2L normal petrol-automatic powertrain
The HX 4 Plus, which is the most affordable Exter variant to offer a sunroof, is only available with the 1.2L normal petrol-automatic powertrain
