2026 MG Majestor Expected Price List — With Logic (MG Gloster Replacement SUV)

Setting The Baseline w/ MG Gloster

Since the Majestor is here to replace the Gloster, it’s the Gloster’s price list, which becomes our natural starting point to estimate a tentative price list of the Majestor variants.

The following table presents the Gloster’s variant-wise price list as of May 25, 2026:

The Gloster never managed to do any damage to the Toyota Fortuner, which continues to sell in large numbers despite offering a very short list of features and creature comfort. In fact, according to some potential buyers, the older stock of Gloster often sold with discounts stretching up to Rs. 6.0 lakh or more.

This trend suggests that MG India didn’t mind selling the car priced at Rs. 38.33 - 42.49 lakh in an effective price band of Rs. 32.33 lakh - Rs. 36.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Even at such lucrative effective prices (with discounts, of course), it struggled enough that MG decided to discontinue it without even a facelift or a mid-life update.

2026 MG Majestor Expected List In India

We believe MG are serious about making a mark in the large SUV segment and the older pricing wasn’t cutting it. Moreover, the tension in the middle-east is creating a cautious approach among buyers considering large SUVs. There’s a slight bias building against large SUVs, which are known to be gas guzzlers.

So, we are expecting MG India to make a strong statement with the Majestor. For the Majestor to make any meaningful impact, it won’t just have to be priced well; it’ll need to have a ridiculous price tag making it an obvious choice for any large SUV buyer. The pricing will need to be so lucrative that any concerns about the ‘gas guzzler’ image should be off-set by the attractive price tag.

We are expecting to see the 2026 MG Majestor go on sale very soon in India with a price range of Rs. 35.0 lakh to Rs. 39.0 lakh. At Rs. 39.0 lakh (ex-sh) Majestor top model’s expected price, according to our estimates, is still Rs. 2.50 lakh higher than the Gloster’s during peak discount season. That’s a fair premium for the larger dimensions of the Majestor, which can be considered a Gloster facelift or a mid-life update for MG’s large SUV.

Keeping the pricing under Rs. 40.0 lakh gives MG the significant psychological advantage while leaving Rs. 1.0 lakh wiggle room to go up and still staying under the Rs. 40.0 lakh barrier. Even the Fortuner diesel-automatic starts at Rs. 37.61 lakh. So, undercutting the segment leader by a fair margin would help the Majestor establish itself as the default choice for value-conscious buyers.

Besides, there are other ways for MG India and their business partners to make up on any lost margins. For instance, by having the spares and replacement parts priced with steep margins, they could gradually recoup any margins from the customers, which MG may be forgoing at the time of sale.
